Church of the Ascension Hall, 266 North St. Port Perry, ON
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

N. J. Lindquist, award-winning author and columnist, as well as co-editor and publisher of the Hot Apple Cider series, will be teaching a 3-hour workshop that will give an "insider's" glimpse into the world of writing and help you create a plan for your next steps.

Topics include ministry (share what’s in your heart in order to help others), art (strive for originality, go outside the box), craft (say exactly what you want them to say in the way you want to say it), and business (know your goals, have a plan, work in an orderly fashion, network and promote).

Cost: $25 per person

Glynis Belec will have a book table at the event and will be promoting and selling signed copies of A Second Cup of Hot Apple Cider along with some of her other published books throughout the all day. $5 from the sale of each book will be donated to Ovarian Cancer Canada!

Glynis, who is one of the Zeal for Teal chairpersons, is also the MC for the day.
 
Promotional items for A Second Cup of Hot Apple Cider, The Word Guild, and Canadian Writers who are Christian will be included in the [100] participant goody bags.
 
Theme is the Wild West.

We began our book launch events across Canada in mid-April of 2011, sprang into high gear starting April 30 to coincide with the book's official launch on May 1, and continued promotion throughout the rest of 2011. Now we're busy again in 2012.

Ann Brent taped a short radio interview with station manager, Al Baker, that will air today.

In the interview, she talks about A Second Cup of Hot Apple Cider and, in particular, her two stories: one a poignant memoir from the daughter of a single parent – "My Mother's Gift;" the other an amusing take on one of many little annoyances that are part of getting older – "Visual Gymnastics."

Glynis Belec will be speaking on "The Writer’s Life" and her involvement in A Second Cup of Hot Apple Cider. Her focus will be on her own experiences as a Canadian Writer and her association with The Word Guild.

Glynis will also be selling and signing copies of A Second Cup of Hot Apple Cider and some of her other published works.

Moorefield senior citizens and their families and friends will be served steamy hot apple cider and generous helpings of homemade apple crisp
